It is a traditional verse:
La Virgen hizo una sopa
Pero no le echó el tomate.
Y San José le decía,
Si la pruebo que me maten.
The Virgin Mary made soup
but she didn’t add tomato
And St. Joseph told her
May they kill me if I try it
