Unlock the mysteries of how the cante and baile work together in bulerías with master artists José Mijita (cantaor) and Carmen Herrera (bailaora).
In this 1.5 hour workshop you play palmas, sing, and learn how the dancing and singing work together in bulerías.
Focus: To become familiar with cante por bulerías and how it relates to the baile and compás.
Who is it for? Students of flamenco (dance, cante, guitar, palmas) at ALL LEVELS and anybody interested in the art form.
What if I can't attend live? The class will be recorded, so you can still participate.
What if I don’t speak Spanish? I will be there to interpret in English, so it’s no problem if you don’t speak Spanish.

A flamenco theory workshop with renown flamenco artist David Lagos
In this exclusive two part workshop, David will reveal what characterizes the most important styles in flamenco: What are their origins? What do they sound like? How can you identify them and why does it matter?
What if I can't attend both (or either) session live? The classes will be recorded, so you can still participate. (These will be recordings I’m pretty sure you’ll hold onto and refer back to again and again.)
