Center for Movement Arts
1734 SE 12th Ave. Portland, OR
Do you want to get down to the nitty gritty of Bulerías de Jerez? Do you want to see what it feels like to sing and dance?
This workshop is for anybody interested in better understanding Bulerías de Jerez (singers, dancers, percussionists...) Mara is the real deal, so if you want to get down to the nitty gritty of bulerías, this is the class or you. Mara will provide instruction in cante (singing), baile (dancing), and compás (rhythm) to give students a holistic picture of what bulerías truly is.
It is very rare that we get a singer of Mara’s level of expertise and experience right here in Portland. And on top of that, she is a dancer too, so she deeply understands the interlinking of these two elements, essential to truly understanding bulerías.
