Upper body technique: Strengthen your core and arm muscles while learning primary body positions. We focus on correct posture and positioning to effectively and successfully execute body movements. Repetitive, slow movements support dancers of all levels.
Footwork: Learn the different footwork techniques and which muscles to engage when through a series of exercises (that are equally as good for the brain as for the body).
Turns: Turning, it's not as hard as you think. We'll learn basic turn technique.
Rhythm & Palmas: Learn the two main palmas (rhythmic hand-clapping) techniques through simple but practical patterns.
Choreography: Put skills into practice by combining steps in succession to form short combinations that we'll turn into a choreography por bulerías.
Baile & Cante: Get an introduction to how the dancing (baile) relates to the singing (cante).
Beginners, join us, and learn what you need to know to dance flamenco.
