This is for the beginning castanets player who has had an introduction to castanets but is still in the beginning stage. (If you’ve never had any castanets experience, we recommend taking Absolute Beginning Castanets before joining this class.)

The student who is beginning their castanets journey or who wants to refresh with the basics and work slowly.

What will we do?

Here you’ll learn the basics in order to play castanets including

  • Begin learning how to coordinate body and feet movements while playing simple patterns

  • Reinforce the different castanet techniques and how to hold the castanets

  • Learn simple toques (castanet sound combinations)
