About Estela Zatania
After performing flamenco professionally for four decades, Estela Zatania became a flamenco journalist and writer. She received a research grant from the Spanish government in 2003, and in 2004 was awarded the La Unión National Prize for Flamenco Journalism. In 2007 her book, “Flamencos de Gañanía”, was named best flamenco book of the year. Now a bilingual speaker in Europe, the United States and Canada, she writes for the digital magazine Expoflamenco, and other specialized publications.
