Could you incorporate the flamenco step below into a dance?⁣

Use this tangos footwork pattern to:⁣

✨Strengthen your contratiempo⁣

✨Work your golpes and tacónes⁣

✨Practice coordinating palmas with footwork

Or add it (or part of it) to one of your flamenco dance choreographies.⁣

Ready to learn the step?

1. Watch the video tutorial to learn the footwork pattern.⁣

2. Next, bring your speed down, and add palmas on the primary counts only. ⁣

(In this case first just on the 1 and 5 gradually adding more palmas until you are clapping on each beat.)⁣

3. Practice slowly for as long as you need to.⁣

4. Gradually bring up the speed.⁣

Check it out here:

Some Notes:

Instead of adding palmas you can do some arms or use your skirt.⁣

For additional support, practice with music or compás in the 8 count rhythm.⁣
